“The purpose of art is to discover the meaning and depth of life”; a definition given by Christopher Liew, the Founder and Lecturer of Young Choreographer Project under Synergy Dance Theatre (SDT).
Being discovered by the Master, John Chin is one of the most talented and creatuve young choreographers under the Young Choreographer Project. His production was “Listen” where his team performed at the WHITE dance theatre performance on 20th June 2015.
Soon after that, John had another opportunity to dance at the 35th Anniversary Dance Performance organized by STTSS Dance Troupe at his beloved school, Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School in July before he is heading to The Boston Conversatory to pursue his dream end of this month.
Soya Shui Su Xuan is another young choreographer who participated in the same project. She appeared in more than half of the performances at the 35th Anniversary Dance Performance.
They are indeed unique and special in their own way. They stretch not only their body muscles but also their mindset : fulfilling their dreams with full of passion and discovering the meaning of life through hard work. Doing the impossible and still pursuing the impossible. John and Su Xuan are only 18 years old.
On this day, both of them are proud of STTSS because it has given them a platform to be trained and stretched.
Soon in the future, STTSS will be proud of them because they have carried the spirit of Tshung Tsin and carrying the name of Tshung Tsin across the seas.
